Lacrosse has a long and proud history in Australia with clubs being founded as far back as to 1876. Since the late 1970s/early 1980s, lacrosse clubs down under have been hosting overseas players (primarily coming from the United States) to boost their teams and help coach and develop their junior teams. There are three main cities that have established lacrosse leagues which are: Melbourne, Victoria, Adelaide, South Australia and Perth in Western Australia. The Australian lacrosse season runs from the end of April to the beginning of September.  Clubs practice usually once or twice a week during the nights and league games are played on the weekends.

Once accepted into the program you will be connected with one of our partnered clubs and welcomed into a new lacrosse family. As a Lacrosse Pro you will be playing for the clubs top team, coaching one of the junior teams and delivering lacrosse lessons at local schools or universities to recruit new players down to the club. Outside of lacrosse, many families and teammates will host you over for meals and help you explore and navigate life in Australia and all of its wonder.

Key Australia Information:

• Visa Length - up to 12 months

• Season - runs from late April until September

• Graduating Seniors - arrival is expected 1 or 2 weeks after graduation date

• Post Grads - arrival is expected early April

• Lacrosse Pro is responsible for roundtrip airfare to and from destination
